87% PES Biodegradable - 13% EL, this biodegradable fabric is made from PrimaLoft® Bio™ fiber certified biodegradable yarns. It has much higher degradation rates compared to traditional recycled polyester (Recycled PES).
The biodegradation test results of this yarn are as follows;
In garbage piles 93.8% degradation in 646 days
In ocean water 86.1% degradation in 1563 days
In municipal wastewater: 17.8% degradation in 241 days (much higher than Recycled PES)
